What is a Hybrid Solar System?

A hybrid system is connected to the grid (net-metering) but also has a battery bank. During the day, solar powers the house, charges the battery, and exports excess to the grid. At night, the house runs on the battery. Only when the battery is empty does it draw from the grid.

Can I run my AC on battery?
